Sale deed and Agreement for sale

I want to sell one of my properties and for the same, I have been asked to draft an agreement for sale and sale deed. Can I know the difference between these two documents and can they be similar to each other?

A sale agreement and a sale deed are two different agreements used for different purposes. The former is signed before the sale to agree tentatively on the terms while the sale deed confims the sale of the property. Thus the difference lies in when they are drafted. Depending on the same, their terms can have some differences as well.
