If a large number of employees are quickly laid off, can a case be filed against the employer? Such a situation happened where I am employed.

Answer 1

If a large number of employees are laid off quickly and you feel that there was a breach of conditions, you can absolutely file a suit at a court of competent jurisdiction. However, note that if all the employees were compensated or were given a notice period or were paid instead of the notice period, you won't be able to file a suit. Therefore, unless there is a breach of agreements or when the notice period requirement has not been kept up with, you won't be able to get a remedy by filing a suit.
