In India people have been arrested for spreading ISIS propaganda or recruiting people and many other varied methods by which they have been supporting ISIS. Those arrested have been charged with different kind of offences under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and the Indian Penal Code. Depending upon the nature of the activity undertaken by the accused they have been charged for cheating (Section 419 of IPC), conspiracy (Section 18 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 or Section 120 (B) of IPC), promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion ( Section 153 A of the IPC).
