Land Laws in Delhi

Mr XYZ purchased land in patanjali haridwar from ABC Builders,s agent ,he made first payment in cheque of rs 1,00,000 .After that he contacted main ABC builder branch situated in Delhi ,where he came to know no such amount has been received and there are so many agents dealing with estate ,we take no such responsibility .Is it a case of builder and agent conspiracy and fraud .What provisions of Land laws attracts?

According to law of agency, principal is vicariously liable for the acts of agent. If an agent is authorised to do a particular job by the principal then accordingly he would be vicariously liable for the acts done by his agent. In this case ABC builder should be vicariously liable for the acts of his agent.
