I was promised job by a placement consultancy and they took money from me. But now they are refusing to pay the money and did not arrange a single interview. How can I file a case against them.

You can sue them under S. 23 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 also, citing the reason that the object of the contract is to make money by fraudulently deceiving the party and therefore, it is against public policy.
