Cheating by Quickjobzz

For the services offered by Quickjobzz, I have already made the total payment of Rs. 102462/- inclusive of all taxes on 6th of June 2016 (the payment is made online by a step by step process). Initially they promised to repay the full amount if I did not get the service within 2 months (they have given mail confirmation regarding the repayment). But still now they have not given any proper feedback. Now when I asked for the repayment they are not responding and even not attending the calls. If they attend the call and when I ask for the money they disconnect the calls. All the mails which I am sending are bouncing back. I have registered a compliant in the Indian consumer complaints forum, but till now there is no action. It has been noticed that lot of people are getting cheated with the same company like me. I have seen lot of complaint against this firm with the same issue of fraudulent activities. Please advise the steps to be taken to retrieve the amount.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Since, they have promised you to repay the amount in full if no services are provided within 2 months, stating this makes them legally bound by an oral agreement and thus, vitiating this agreement definitely makes them liable under the laws in india. However, approaching in a manner as stated below is much more beneficial.

You have a couple of remedies at hand against such online frauds :-

  • Criminal complaint
  • You can file a criminal complaint in the court before the magistrate under sections 415, 418 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, that talks about “Cheating” plus section 405 that talks about “criminal breach of trust”.

  • Consumer complaint
  • File a complaint in the district consumer forum of your district. Since, you mentioned that there are some more people affected through the same cause of action. What I would suggest is that you come in contact with all those people concerned and bring a joint complaint before the forum, which is likely to create a major impact on the ongoing scenario of such frauds and because it affects a number of people in the society, the quantum of punishment will be bigger and the disposal of the matter, speedier.

I would also advice you to be cautious and beware of such cheaters in future and to read the terms and conditions of the offers well, before engaging into the transaction of money for the exchange of services promised.
