Posting on behalf of my friend: She is a divorcee, met someone in a matrimonial site and started talking to him. He is a doctor by profession, and he has told her that he is in the process of becoming a director of a hospital for which he has to give his share as deposit or something like that. For that he has requested her to help him with 8 Lakhs. He had told her that his property loan process is in the way, and he will return it with 15 days. (Email statement shows that he is persuading her to pledge her gold and give him 8L, it also states that he will return within 15days with interest). She pledged her gold and transfered the money through bank transfer to him. After a month or so, she was in need of some urgent money, and has asked him. But he keeps giving excuses, each time a new excuse stating he is having problems etc. We suspect he is not genuine, since it is already 90 days now, we would like to file a criminal case on cheating. We would like to know how it proceeds, and how long will it take to recover the money back. She has even asked him to give post-dated cheques, but he refused to give citing IT scrutiny of his bank accounts!!!

The case is related to Non-payment of Salary I used to work in Brainstorm Innovation and Research Pvt Ltd. The company is head quartered in Chennai and I used to work in Mumbai branch office. I had joined the company in May 2012. However, from December 2012, the owner of the company stopped paying our salaries citing that the company is going through financial crisis and they are looking for investor to pump in fresh investment. However, in February 2013, the owner of the company terminated all the employees citing that they have failed to find any investor and are closing the business. Through email and con-call the owner had promised that they will pay our pending dues, severance pay and provide us Form 16 for the TDS deducted. Since then, I have followed up with the promoters/ owners of the company numerous times. Initially they were responding to our emails and have kept on promising that they will release the payment soon. However, off late they have stopped responding to my emails. Kindly let me know how should I take legal action against the promoter/owner of the company. Under what premise, should I go ahead with the legal action and what is the chance of winning the case. I don't have enough funds to appoint a lawyer and fight a full-fledged case against the company. As an individual, can I send him a legal notice? It would be of great help if anyone can share sample legal notice for the same. Kindly let me know if sending a legal notice can help me in the recovering the pending dues? What if they dont even entertain my legal notice? I am thoroughly confused on how to go about the legal action. Kindly guide me. Regards,

Does this case stand any legal ground as the divorce took place on mutual grounds free from any marital bonding, free will, non interference with future? My brother and his ex-wife got separated legally (stamp paper) on 06 Sep 2016. They got married on 19 Oct 2014 following which due to their difference of opinion they decided to get divorce. Before divorce, his ex-wife lived separately for 1 year before the divorce took place. After all these years, his ex-wife has sent a notice through Women and Child Welfare Board, Karnataka Government under section 12 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence and claimed compensation of 5000 per month. His ex-wife has 2 kids from her first marriage and together (my brother & ex-wife) do not have any children out of their marriage. Thanks.

Nature of Compliant : Myself and the society ( Managing Comm ) known to each other , I offered them end to end solutions namely... We bought underconstruction flat (till 2017 possesion) from the Sales agent of the Builders we made all the deals and was paying the initial 15% for the registration of flat but in installments as Sales agent also agreed over this by the time we paid Rs. 4 Lacs to him last year and in September we decided to drop the flat deal cause of some personal reason, we asked the Sales agent to cancel the deal and do the formalities accordingly but he only made excuses and took 5 months delay by saying that "I will come to you by next week", after that we went to the company office by our own and caught him there redhanded and as he showed us the cancel form then which state 40 days refund time from the aplication, we asked he must have come earlier but he gave excuses he took delay advantage of almost 6 Months well on 17th Feb we finally signed the Document and then he assured us that he will make the refund earlier then mentioned but he again did fraud and now denying and saying that will give after 40 days (soon after 9 Days this limit will also end) only. Secondly when we ask the Company Reception to give us the Higher Authority Contact detials (Manager Sales/Manager Business Dev) or the Sales person denying to give contacts just cause of this fear that this will expose the Sales person. Only papers we have is the Agreement which is as per the Sales Person is KYC form(nothing else is given from his side and since we paid in cheques we have details of those but no bills/ payemt slips) and the Prospectus along with some detailed loose sheets and for the cancellation the person is charging us 15% of the amount and Service Tax of 4.2% which makes no sense to me (as the flat is within the limit of 2000 sq ft and mentioned in the papers is 3.5% Service Tax). To make things right I approached for the company's mail but no reply was from their side so in this situation what are the steps we can take as we had a loss of 6 months delay from the sales person side along with 19.2% deduct amount and still not sure that he will make no delay further.

Damage caused by people living in above floor

What legal action can be taken if damages are being done to flat by person who is staying in the above floor. Constant water seepage is coming down to the first floor from the floor above. Repeated request to the owner and RWA to recify the situation has not resulted in stopping the damage.

I provided my brother's laptop to a friend who already ows me 7000 INR, after multiple failed attempts to get my money and laptop back he has vanished and refused to give back my laptop and money. I have bank receipts for money deposited in his account and call recordings in which he accepted to return my laptop in a month. I filed a police complaint regarding the same and he told the cops that he never got any laptop from me and says that the call recording is not legitimate. How can I get my money and laptop back as it contains personal family and official data also I cannot afford much to hire a lawer for this case. I lost my job as well. Help me find a solution, less expensive is preferred. I also want to sue him for hassle and pain caused to me since 3 months.
